The final trailer for&nbsp;Star Wars: The Mandalorian and Grogu arrived today. It was screened first at CinemaCon, in front of attendees and exhibitors, along with the first 17 minutes of the movie, where all the snowy bits from this trailer happen.&nbsp; &nbsp; Spoiler Alert: Scroll over the space below if you want to read this summary from&nbsp;Variety. &nbsp; Director Jon Favreau took the CinemaCon stage to debut the opening 17 minutes of the film, which saw Mando infiltrate a secret meeting of Empire sympathizers and blow up massive AT-AT walkers on a snowy planet. The bounty hunter shot, stabbed and flamethrower-ed his way through the base full of Snowtroopers, with Grogu helping along the way. The Empire leader sends out a recon droid, which meets...

Universal&rsquo;s once hyped, subsequently derided &ldquo;Dark Universe,&rdquo; a misguided attempt to create a Marvel-style shared universe featuring newly imagined incarnations of the studio&rsquo;s classic monsters, may be done and dusted, but the mummy, the stumbling, wrapped-in-bindings undead avatar of vengeance, isn&#39;t. &nbsp; At least not yet, anyway. Universal will try again, of course, but until then, studio executives concluded that resurrecting the well-regarded action-adventure series starring Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz would result in better box office. &nbsp; Rather than let a recognizable brand go to waste, Warner Bros. decided to step in with a new take of their own, Lee Cronin&rsquo;s The Mummy. Presumably titled to avoid potential confusion, Lee Cronin&rsquo;s The Mummy isn&rsquo;t your great-grandfather&rsquo;s mummy. It&rsquo;s not your grandfather or even your...

<title>CITY WIDE FEVER Review: Not Really a Giallo Homage, And That&apos;s Ok</title>

Josh Heaps&rsquo;&nbsp;City Wide Fever is a real oddity. On the surface, it&rsquo;s a small DIY thriller that looks&nbsp;shot&nbsp;on the cheap, which already narrows down its appeal. But if you get on its wavelength over the course of its very brief 70 minutes (sans credits), you might even start to feel a small twinge of nostalgia. Said nostalgia comes from a very different source than advertised. Billed as an homage to giallo, this certainly has a setup those Italian films would have a field day with: A film student named Sam (Diletta Guglielmi) finds a USB in a park one day, containing the life and work of forgotten director Saturnino Barresi, including his unfinished final film, which gives this one its title. Acts. Questions. Steps. Leaps. All words with which 'of faith' can be easily and appropriately clipped on, and applied especially to Caroline Golum's Revelations of Divine Love, a micro-budget marvel of faith-based cinema that dramatises (and implicitly modernises) the writings of Julian of Norwich, a 14th century 'anchoress' whose eponymous and influential text detailed social upheaval from within the thick stone walls of a church. A new film by horror indie auteur Larry Fessenden is always cause for celebration, and for those lucky enough to be attending the Overlook Film Festival, they have the chance to attend the world premiere of his new film&nbsp;Trauma or, Monsters All, tonight. And we have an exclusive clip! An aspiring author gets more than she bargained for when she writes an article for the local paper about her small town&rsquo;s dark history, prompting unwanted speculation on what monsters may lie within. Overlook mainstay Larry Fessenden returns with the thrilling conclusion to his quadrilogy, a thoughtful and fiercely independent monster mash that can be enjoyed on its own or marathoned with his three origin stories &ndash; Habit, Depraved, and Blackout. La&euml;titia Hollard, the big breakout...
